Well here we go, day one in our bubble. So what's the plan. First of all, keep it simple, establish a routine, limit screen time, keep active, and try where possible to have authentic learning experiences that will keep the boys busy and entertained.
Amy and I came up with a timetable for day one here's what it looks like.
7am -9am Free time, breakfast, bathroom (teeth face etc), tidy rooms and empty the dishwasher.
9am - family walk and exercise
10am - Start making our vegetable garden
10:30am - Morning tea
11am - Finish garden
12:00pm - free time (no screens)
12:30 Lunch time
1pm - School work
2pm - Free time
For lunchtime we have a menu board and the boys can order from the menu. This has been a hit so far and the boy have choice and finding that one they are eating heaps and also looking forward to eating at the Scott's Restaurant. The boys can choose 1 main 2 snacks and 1 treat. We are only changing 1 or two items a day to mix it up.
So fingers crossed all goes well.
Welcome to the Scott's Isolation Blog. We are in our bubble for the next few weeks and want to share our adventure. Mission 1: entertaining my 3 boys Taylor 9, Cameron 6 and Casey 3. We will also be using this to connect with friends and family and share the boys learning experiences. Would love to hear from you all about things you are doing to keep sane.
